Finance Manager

The finance manager will play a critical role in strategic decision making and operations as PSI continues to enhance its quality of service and build capacity. The role will involve executive-level consulting, cost-benefit analysis, financial forecasting, asset management, and budgeting.  


Qualifications :

- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.

- Professional qualification such as CFA/CPA or similar will be considered a plus.

- Further qualifications such as an MBA or a professional certification (like CFA or CPA) can be beneficial and sometimes preferred.

- A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a finance role, with a track record of progressive responsibility.

- At least 2-3 years of managerial or supervisory experience.

- Prior experience with financial forecasting and risk management.

- Experience with accounting and financial software systems.

Key Responsibilities:

01. Develop financial strategy, including risk minimization plans and opportunity forecasting.

02. Oversee, review, and adhere to the budgets for each business department.

03. Prepare financial reports and interpret financial information to managerial staff while recommending further courses of action.

04. High-level financial reporting and analysis including preparation of board and committee packs, regulatory reports, and statutory financial statements.

05. Assist in the development of the company's overall strategic goals and ensure the financial performance aligns with these strategic goals.

06. Analyze costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results, and the company’s actual performance compared to the business plans.

07. Develop trends and projections for the company’s finances.

08. Advise on investment activities and provide strategies that the company should take.

09. Ensure adherence to financial laws and guidelines.

10. Takes Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) lead in ensuring “safe systems of work” and “safe conditions” are in place within area of responsibility.

11. Performs other similar or related duties as required or assigned by management.

Skills & Competencies:

- Proficient user of finance software.

- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.

- Able to manage, guide, and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used.

- A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.

- Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations.
