Dubai, UAE: Dubai's property market continues to attract new development companies, with 186 real estate developers entering the market between the beginning of 2026 and mid-August, according to data from the Dubai Land Department reported by Gulf News.

The figure works out to roughly 25 new developers per month, reflecting the continued expansion of Dubai's real estate sector and the number of companies entering the market.

186 Developers Enter Dubai's Market

The new entrants came through several licensing authorities.

According to the reported DLD data:

  • 180 companies received licences from Dubai's Department of Economy and Tourism.
  • 3 companies received licences from Trakhees.
  • 2 companies received licences from the Mohammed bin Rashid Establishment for Small and Medium Enterprises Development.
  • 1 company received a licence from Expo City Dubai.

The figures point to a broader developer base across Dubai's property sector, with new companies joining established names already active in the market.

More Developers, More Competition

The arrival of 186 new real estate development companies adds another layer of competition to Dubai's property market.

New developers add to the range of projects available to buyers across different locations, property types and price points.

At the same time, the number of developers should not be the only factor behind a purchase.

A project's location, pricing, development status and the developer's track record all remain important considerations, particularly for buyers purchasing off-plan.
